We believe that changing the way we produce and distribute food is fundamental to solving the world’s most pressing social and ecological problems.
Babbinswood Farm is in North Shropshire, 5 miles from Oswestry. The farm is managed by Barbara, Casha and Adam. In Summer 2017 a small dairy herd was started and we have been producing & selling organic milk, both raw and pasteurised it’s all made here on the farm. Our dairy herd is unique: We allow the calves to stay with their mothers. We like to think we are sharing the milk, as we only milk the cows once a day allowing the calves to have their fair share. We also believe this has a lot of other fabulous benefits for both the cow & her calf. Our farm has been farmed organically since 2002, we are certified with the Soil Association. What does organic mean? We don’t use any pesticides, herbicides on the farm. We care for our soils and life in there. We love trees and the wonderful benefit they bring to the farm. We pride ourselves on high animal welfare standards. In 2022, Joel and Yas joined our farm and started Good Pickings Market Garden, growing organic vegetables for our onsite farm shop and local deliveries. Please come and visit us our farm shop is open Tuesday to Sunday from 9.30am - 5pm. Thank you, Barbara, Casha & Adam 😊
Local food supports local economies. Food grown in the local community supports local jobs and encourages variety in our diets. It also requires less transportation, so it's fresher and has a smaller environmental footprint.
